Unquestionably, one of the most crucial abilities is problem-solving, but there are many other crucial skills as well, like creating effective code, communicating clearly, cooperating with others, and many others. It is impossible to single out one talent as being the most crucial. The goal of the course "Programming for Problem Solving" is to improve students' problem-solving abilities as well as their ability to write programmes in any language to carry out such solutions. The majority of programming books provide problem-solving skills. There are restrictions on what may really be taught, which is unfortunate. Practice is largely how it is learned. I want to emphasise how important it is for students to observe the process of problem-solving in action. An elementary example of a "issue" that needs to be "solved" is creating a sorting algorithm. Understanding how to implement different algorithms and select the best strategy for sorting helps you learn how to solve problems, in a very rudimentary way. Careful examination of what is covered in this type of analysis wil improve your problem-solving process. Unfortunately, most students just learn algorithms and complete the exercises, and don't dig deeper than that. If you just read the book or notes taken in the class and implement the solution, vou aren't learning to solve the problem. A more effective method is to read the problem, then close the book/notes and try to come up with a solution. After creating a solution on your own, go back and compare your results with what is written in the book/notes. Then vou learn how to solve problems.
