Cataract Surgery: It comprises 14 chapters devoted to different aspects of various surgical procedures including a chapter each on evolution of cataract surgery, anaesthesia for cataract surgery, IOL power calculation, ophthalmic viscosurgical devices (OVDs), IOLs, preoperative work up and preparation for cataract surgery, different surgical techniques and complications of cataract surgeries and their management. All aspects of cataract surgery have been covered in depth. Since the present day cataract surgery has evolved over the years, as cataract refractive surgery, a chapter each has been devoted to biometry and 'astigmatism control in cataract surgery'. Intraocular lens implantation in the absence of posterior capsular support is described as separate chapter.
