In 1936, at the age of 46, Howard Phillips Lovecraft passed away from cancer after a brief but eventful life. Although he was not a well-known author when he was alive, he nevertheless produced a substantial amount of varied and exceptional work in that comparatively brief period, and he is now regarded as one of the greatest authors of supernatural literature. Lovecraft never succeeded in making a career as a writer during his lifetime, despite having had a great impact on many writers after his passing and currently enjoying large book sales each year. Lovecraft struggled for a long time with a variety of physical and mental conditions, yet he was able to develop alliances and relationships with significant figures in his life, some of whom had an impact on his ideas and his writing.
